Not every dent is a good fit for Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), but most minor dents absolutely are—and we’re experts at knowing which ones qualify.
The two most important factors when determining if a dent can be fixed with PDR are depth and location. You can have a dent the size of a dinner plate that’s completely repairable—as long as the metal isn’t overstretched and the dent isn’t too deep. On the flip side, a dime-sized dent that’s deep and sharp may be too far gone for PDR because of metal stretch.
Paint condition matters too. If the paint is cracked or flaking, it’s usually a sign that the dent is too severe—or that a push-to-paint repair might be a better option if you're planning to repaint the panel anyway.

The most common dents we fix are around the size of a golf ball, but we can often handle larger ones too. In fact, we’re able to repair about 95% of all minor dents we see. The remaining 5% tend to be in tricky spots—like the edges of panels, inside quarter panel lips, or behind heavy bracing near the front of some hoods. These areas don’t always allow for the tools or access we need.
But here’s the difference: experience matters. At Got Dents Get Fixed, our certified technicians have the training, tools, and hands-on skill to take on even the toughest dents. We stand by the quality of our work—and it shows.
If you’re not sure your dent qualifies for PDR, just send us a few photos or stop by. We’ll give you an honest answer, no pressure.
If you have an experienced technician, they will be able to handle the most difficult of dents. All our techs are certified to the highest of standards and stand out on their own in the industry.
