What we need from you.
Please take several photos at a 45-degree angle. We recommend not using your flash; this can cause glares and make it harder to see the dent correctly.
(If you have a Harley, please let us know if it is fuel-injected or not.)
Remove the fuel cap and take a close-up picture of the opening. This will help us determine accessibility and provide a more accurate estimate for our customers. Please include the motorcycle's year, make, and model.
WHAT IF MY TANK HAS CRACKED PAINT?
Get your motorcycle gas tank ready for paint!
We can also rough-in your gas tanks or motorcycle fenders, we call it push to paint, a procedure where we repair the damaged area that may have missing paint but the customer does not want body filler or VERY minimal filler in their finished product. When the tank or fender is returned to you, the shop of your choice will have very minimal bodywork time in the affected area, saving them time and saving you money!
PUSH-TO-PAINT BEFORE & AFTER
PUSH TO PAINT MEANS NO BONDO
We can save your Bodyshop time which in turn will save you money, by doing a push-to-paint on your motorcycle gas tank. If your tank has cracked or damaged paint, it will need to be painted, our procedure stops the Bodyshop from having to fill the dent with body filler or worse, welding a metal stud to the outside of the tank and potentially damaging the inside of the gas tank. PDR will give you a better end product if the shop does not have to add body fillers that can potentially shrink out or even crack down the road due to excessive sun exposure.
