Row of cars with visible hail damage on windshields and roofs.

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is revolutionizing how we fix car dents. Unlike traditional methods, which can be time-consuming and costly, PDR offers a quicker, more affordable, and environmentally friendly solution. PDR is the best choice for your vehicle if you’re dealing with dents caused by hail, minor collisions, or everyday mishaps.

  • 1. Quick Turnaround Time

One of the most significant advantages of Paintless Dent Repair is its speed. Traditional dent repair methods often require multiple days in the shop for sanding, filling, and repainting. PDR, however, can be completed in just a few hours, depending on the extent of the damage. This means less downtime for your car and more time back on the road.

    2. Cost-Effective Solution

PDR eliminates the need for expensive materials like fillers and paint. Since the process involves reshaping the metal to its original form, it requires less labor and fewer resources. As a result, PDR is often significantly cheaper than traditional dent repair, making it an attractive option for cost-conscious car owners.

    3. Eco-Friendly Process

With rising environmental concerns, PDR stands out as a green alternative to conventional dent repair. It doesn’t involve harmful chemicals, paints, or fillers, reducing its environmental impact. Choosing PDR helps you contribute to a more sustainable future while keeping your car looking great.

    4. Maintains Vehicle Value

When your car undergoes traditional dent repair, repainting can sometimes lower its resale value, especially if the new paint doesn’t perfectly match the original. PDR preserves your car’s factory finish, maintaining its original look and value. This is especially important for leased vehicles or for those planning to sell their car in the future.

    5. Convenient Mobile Service

Many PDR professionals offer mobile services, bringing the repair directly to your home or workplace. This added convenience means you don’t have to take time out of your busy schedule to drop off and pick up your car at the shop. It’s a hassle-free way to get your vehicle back in pristine condition.

When it comes to fixing dents in an aluminum vehicle, due to a door ding, crease or minor dent, aluminum is much harder to work on and takes a lot more skill and patience. Aluminum is one of the harder metals to work when it comes to "paintless dent repair" pushing the metal back to its original form is much more difficult than normal steel.

Metal Memory? Aluminum metal doesn't have a good 'metal memory', which means that when aluminum is dented unlike steel, it's not as easily shaped back to its undamaged state. To form aluminum back to its original state, specific tools and skills are needed to work the aluminum back into it pre-accident condition.

Cost. The cost to work a dent out of aluminum is higher for the reasons you just read. Usually you will see a 35-50% up-charge when it comes to performing "PDR" on an aluminum vehicle or motorcycle gas tank. working with door dents in aluminum takes at least 50% longer and is much more strenuous on the paintless dent repair technician! Factors like where the dent is located and how stretch the dent is, will determine if the dent is even fixable. feel free to contact us at info@gotdentsgetfixed.com or you can text us your pictures for a quick quote at 920-858-5019. https://medium.com/@info_61897/fixing-aluminum-dented-vehicles-68a04b48b882

Paintless dent repair costs will very from job to job, there are a lot of things that determine what the dent will cost to be fixed, the severity of the dent, the depth and location of the dent, how stretched the metal is, if the dent is on a body line or on the edge of a panel, when accessing the dent becomes more difficult, custom paint jobs and so on. If the dent is on a front door, does that door have safety/laminated glass? Safety glass makes it more difficult to repair a dent due to issues that can occur with the glass itself, the dent can be fixed but the process takes longer because we need to be more careful that we do not damage the edge of the glass itself, safety glass is not like normal glass and is not common in all cars but is getting used more in today's newer model vehicles and high end vehicles.

The normal door ding the size of a quarter up to 1" starts at $150, that can very if there are other factors that come into play, that same dent on a motorcycle gas tank starts at $185 and up. Pictured below you will see some add on's for automotive door dent repair only.
